MS. RENEE JOHNSON LOVES THE FACT THAT SHE CAN share the truth
about Jesus with the children at New Testament Christian Academy. She also
appreciates the loving care of the staff for the children and the spiritual and
academic integrity of the school.
Having a child can change your world and it was the same for Mrs. Johnson.
After she had her son James, she became interested in pursuing a teaching
career. Her first career was in technology, and today, she loves bringing
digital devices into the classroom to aid the 21st-century learner. She has
been at NTCA since 2002, and she worked in the public school system prior
to that.
Her passion is to equip children for life and eternity! Thus, she stresses
excellent education to equip the children for life and salvation through the Lord
Jesus Christ to equip the children for eternity.
The following are some of Ms. Johnson’s life verses:
From Matthew 22:
“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all they heard,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great
commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as
thyself.”
From Matthew 28:
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all
things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always,
even unto the end of the world. Amen”
By God’s grace, Ms. Johnson attended Marquette University and received a
BS in Business Administration - Management Information Systems and a
minor in Computer Science. She worked as a computer programmer/analyst
in Corporate America for several years. Later, she married and eventually
entered the career field of Education. She went back to school and attended
Concordia University to become a state-licensed teacher (Lifetime).
Afterwards, she attended the National Louis University, where she received a
graduate degree (Ed.S) in educational leadership. She is a state-licensed
educational administrator (Lifetime).
Ms. Johnson believes in lifelong learning. Thus, she requires the teaching
staff to experience HOURS of professional development to equip them to
serve the students well.
When Ms. Johnson is not working with the staff or students, she enjoys
getting together with those she loves, family and friends.
Ms. Johnson says Matthew 6:33 is one of her favorite verses as she has seen it proven true often.
